Don’t
use Mosquito coil Smoke 100 cigarette instead.
Note:
Views are personal don’t compel you to subscribe to it.
It
is always been said that Old Is gold, our ancestors are smart enough to use Mosquito
Nets instead of all those 3 minutes mosquito killers, coils, liquids, mats. Don’t
you thing something which can kill mosquito which is a living being like use
will not affect us in the same way.
Just
to let you know once I use to use mosquito repellent and which I use to keep
near to bed and after few days I felt that I was having some problem in
breathing, I was not able to understand why it was happening, after analyzing for
some time I kept the repellent far from the bed and realized that the my
breathing became normal within 1-2 days.
It’s
better to use natural things then to these synthesized products which affect us
a lot with the time. The shortcuts will not lead us anywhere but to bad health
scenarios. Fast and portable is not always good.
Let’s
now see some bad effect of these products which affects use badly in long run
which we don’t realize sooner.
Smoke
emitted from one mosquito repellent coil is equivalent to those of 100
cigarettes, thus causing harm to a large number of people in India, an expert
says :
Now
in our society it has become a practice to use these products, just for ease and quick solutions, but the
smoke or fume that comes out of these products may contain harmful pollutants
which is sure a health concern:
“Mr.
Sandeep Salvi, who spoke at the conference 'Air Pollution and Our Health',
which was organized by the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) along with
the Indian Council for Medical Research and the Indian Medical Association. He
talks about a recent Malaysian study which insists that the damage done to
lungs by one mosquito coil is equivalent to the damage done by 100 cigarettes.”
And
he added “Burning one mosquito coil released the same amount of particulate
matter as burning 75-137 cigarettes would emit.”
These
products contains a carcinogenic chemical that causes cancer, and allethrin,
though safe for killing mosquitoes, excessive exposure to its smoke from
burning coils may have adverse effects on human health.
These
coils contains:
•
Pyrethrum - a natural, powdered material from a
kind of chrysanthemum plant; performance moderate
• Pyrethrins
- an extract of the insecticidal chemicals in pyrethrum
• Allethrin
- sometimes d-trans-allethrin, the first synthetic pyrethroid
• Esbiothrin
- a form of allethrin
• Butylated
hydroxytoluene (BHT) - an optional additive to prevent pyrethroid from
oxidizing during burning
• Piperonyl
butoxide (PBO) - an optional additive to improve the effectiveness of
pyrethroid
•
N-Octyl bicycloheptene dicarboximide (MGK 264) -
an optional additive to improve the effectiveness of a pyrethroid
Some
of which are not good for health.
Even
if it’s compulsory to use these product never use it in closed room, keep
something open to let it out.
And
prefer Mosquito nets instead of other product it helps…..
